Your Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce was honored to host our very own “Alamo Wing” (433rd Airlift Wing) alongside their civic and military guests from the “Buckeye Wing” (445th Airlift Wing) for a military reception presented by Boeing. Guests from the 445th Airlift Wing flew in from Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio for an overnight civic leader visit to see what Joint Base San Antonio has to offer. Their first day included a demonstration by the 802nd Security Forces Squadron military working dogs’ section, a tour of the 733rd Training Squadron simulators and VR lab and concluded with a reception at the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce riverwalk offices.

Opening remarks were given by Dave Petersen, Interim President, and CEO of the Greater San Antonio Chamber. Following Petersen, guests heard from Richard Delgado Jr., Boeing’s Senior Community Investor, who spoke about Boeing’s commitment to supporting our Air Force Reserve members and their important engagement in Chamber efforts and initiatives, that include this year’s 53rd Annual Celebrate America’s Military events which will begin on November 1st. After hearing from Delgado, Colonel William Gutermuth, Commander of the 433rd Airlift Wing, spoke about the importance of hosting civic leader engagements and fly-ins and shared his appreciation for the business community’s ongoing support.
